Avril LaVigne doesn't like your girlfriend!

Not only that, but she's plotting to dispose of her as we speak! Damn Canadians! And to think, she just got married too! It must not be going to well if this is any indication. Of course, seeing as how she's also responsible for songs prostituting herself to hitchhikers, hey, maybe it isn't such a stretch.



I speak of course, of Avril LaVigne's Girlfriend...er, the song Girlfriend. Though witnessing her behaviour (Look! An unnecessary U! I'm making that sentence all Canadian and stuff!) elsewhere, I'm having my doubts.


I shit you not.....back one day I was switching dvds and I had to sit through TRL while waiting for the next one to load up. Girlfriend came on, and one of those ever so enlightening scrolls from fans came on the screen asking "Where's the punk, Avril?". I rolled my eyes. But after hearing this song for the first time, I found myself agreeing with the sentiment. OK, she was never punk in the first place, but whatever she was, where was it? It's been replaced by some weird mash-up of Skater Boy (Yes, I refuse to give it the totally punk rawk spelling) and Mickey. Not me Mickey...the song Mickey. Thank goodness...I'd imagine me getting mashed up would hurt.

So onto the video (I've watched it so you don't have to....I'd provide a YouTube link...but...do you really want one? I thought not). We have two Avrils competing over a hot boy (And wondering why they didn't have the budget to have a bunch of Avrils on the screen at the same time like that there Christina Aguilera video). A "nerdy" Avril and a "cool" Avril.



So you probably guessed it.....these two fight and "nerdy" Avril gets the guy because that's how this is supposed to work and...HEY!!!! We've been tricked! Damn "nerdy" Avril is the evil one who has the guy! We're supposed to be rooting for "cool" Avril! What the fuck???? Doesn't she know that she has all these insecure girls looking up to her as a role model fighting for hot boys of their own? So I guess the message here is "Fuck all y'all...I want your hottie, I'm taking him and there's not a damn thing you dorks can do about it"


What a bitch. This is why everyone hates Canada.
