Congratulations to the Colts. As a Pats fan, you think I'd be pissed, but I'm not. Maybe it's the fact I've been drinking Mountain Dew all day and won 2 quarters in a Super Bowl pool, but I'm perfectly fine with the outcome. Peyton's a good guy who still enjoys playing the game despite all the money and fame and exposure (Unlike ARod, who clearly has lost the desire to live....er, play baseball) and certainly, there's Vinatieri, who, while I'm mad at his leaving, is a good guy who went to another competitive team and it wasn't just for the money and fame (Unlike Johnn...man, I gotta stop that. Even if it's true.). Clearly, you can't get fame in Indy anyway, so that's not a problem. Though it rocked seeing him miss that field goal at the half (Especially because it won me the quarter)
That being said, that Super Bowl was teh suck. Here's my flags on the play.
Unnecessary Bullshit- Peyton Manning winning MVP. This fan voting needs to stop. It's a popularity contest to the highest degree. The MVP was Rhodes. Period. Tom Brady should not have two MVPs. One of those should be Vrabel's or Vinatieri's or McGinest's etc...maybe even both. And it's no different here.
Under review-Where were the, you know, good commercials?
Please rough the passer-Tony Dungy and his postgame speech. Yeah, God is great. OK...but do we need to hear it every other word? He makes a Destiny's Child award acceptance speech sound sacriligious!
Intentional WTF?-For a guy that gets pissed at having covers and parodies done of his songs, Prince sure has no problem covering songs himself.
Game Interference-Can someone please hold on to the ball? Seriously. Geez........

The Superbowl MVP award is like the season MVP award and the Hall of Fame. It's biased towards QBs and RBs.
I hate to say it, but while Rypien put up some good numbers, the Washington defense murdered Jim Kelly and Thurman Thomas in Superbowl 26. They could have easily picked someone on the Skins defense for MVP, because if Buffalo offense could have gotten anything going, it could have been a different game.
